Free Afternoon Recitals Return for Spring


Enjoy live music on your lunch break with the Brookhaven College Recital Series for the spring 2004 semester.  The series offers free performances by area musicians at small concerts on the Brookhaven College main campus. The Recital Series takes place on Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:25 p.m. in Building D, Room D203, in January and February.  The series is open to the public and features a variety of musical styles and instruments each semester.  The schedule of performers includes the following ensembles and individuals.

Jan. 29 – Jim Shannon Jazz Group
     
Feb. 5 – Daniel Nix, bassist
      Carmen Doubrava, pianist

Feb. 12 – Laurice Rickard, soprano

The recital series is part of the music program through the Fine Arts, Physical Education and Athletics Division.  For more information about this or any other arts program call 972-860-4730.

Brookhaven College, a member of the Dallas County Community College District, is located in the city of Farmers Branch, just north of the LBJ Freeway (IH-635) at 3939 Valley View Lane between Midway Road and Marsh Lane.
