FARMERS BRANCH/DALLAS • Two exhibitions open Feb. 6 at Brookhaven College School of the Arts galleries.
Milwaukee artist Fahimeh Vahdat exhibits new large-scale drawings in Fahimeh Vahdat’s series What will befall her? in the Forum Gallery at Brookhaven College Feb. 6-March 1. Vahdat is a professor of art at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts from Southern Methodist University, and her Associate of Art from Richland College. A reception for Fahimeh Vahdat is Feb. 11 from 6-8 p.m.
Dallas artist Amy Halko exhibits new work in ceramic vessel forms in the Studio Gallery at Brookhaven College Feb. 6-March 1. Amy Halko is instructor in ceramics at Eastfield College; she earned her Master of Fine Arts from Ohio State University, and her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Bowling Green State University. A reception for Amy Halko is Feb. 7 from 6-8 p.m.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public. Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch. The Forum Gallery is located in Bldg. F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Bldg. D, Room D127. Both galleries are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
