DALLAS – Filled with memorable musical numbers, Theatre Brookhaven performs Frank Loesser’s classic musical, “Guys and Dolls” at the Performance Hall at Brookhaven College July 13-23.
A group of small-time gamblers and the ladies in their lives sing and dance their way through a tale of love and redemption, where romance begins with a bet taken and won. The score includes classic songs such as ‘Luck Be A Lady’, ‘Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat’, ‘Adelaide’s Lament’, ‘If I Were A Bell’ and the wonderful title song ‘Guys and Dolls.’ The play is directed by Darise Error, theater professor, with music direction from Gustavo Tolosa, visiting administrator for the Arts Academy, and choreographer Les Jordan.
Shows are July 13-15 and 20-22 at 8 p.m., and July 16 and 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the newly renovated Performance Hall, Building C. General admission is $15; student and senior adults are $10. Tickets are available at the School of the Arts Box Office at 972-860-4118. Box Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m.
