For Immediate Release: Through Sept. 14

DALLAS –Bigger than ever, the Fall Career Fair at Brookhaven College features more than 80 employers with a special event focusing on careers in energy businesses. The career fair is Sept. 14 in the Student Services Center lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with employers in energy businesses located at the college’s Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Each year, the Career Fair provides opportunities for students and community members to speak directly to employers who are seeking to fill both full- and part-time positions. Employers will include banks, hotels and resorts, financial services, retail, health care, insurance, government, and technical companies. Attendees at past fairs have included both national and local businesses large and small such as Hyatt Regency Dallas, Citi Financial, FedEx and Children’s Courtyard. The energy fair will include employers looking for pipeline engineers, management positions, customer support, sales, field mechanics, shop supervisors, performance emissions technicians and more, to work at companies such as JW Operating Company, Drilling Information Incorporated, XTO Energy, Hanover Compression, Crofftex Energy and Gabbys Enterprise. The North Texas Energy Council sponsors both fairs.

The Career Fair is free and open to the public. In addition to two semi-annual career fairs, Brookhaven College’s Career Development Center offers individual counseling, mock interviews, career testing and job search assistance. For more information about the career fair, please contact the Career Development Center at 972-860-4894.
