DALLAS—October showings at the Brookhaven College School of the Arts galleries include works by the varied and talented faculty members in the college’s art department as well as a showing from ceramic artist Sally Campbell Oct. 3-26.
The School of the Arts Art Faculty Exhibition is in the Forum Gallery. Faculty members in this annual exhibition are: Betsy Belcher, Barbara Brault, Chong Chu, Julia Dawson, Lisa Ehrich, Josh Goode, Bruce Humphries, Corey Johnson, Natalie Macellaio, Chris Mast, Rick Maxwell, Margaret McDowell, Cynthia Mills, Susan Mollet, David Newman, Chancellor Page, Jane Starks, Rebecca Swann, Lianne Krueger Sullivan, Don Taylor, David Van Ness, Sherry Wallace and Marla Ziegler. The exhibition is an opportunity to see the breadth of professional practice the Brookhaven College art faculty brings to the classroom.
Art faculty members will discuss their work in informal gallery talk in the Forum Gallery, Oct. 11, from noon to 1:30p.m.
The exhibition Sally Campbell: Colorful Pursuits—New Ceramic Works exhibits in the Studio Gallery. Sally Campbell received the Master of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Florida, and teaches at the University of Texas at Tyler. Her work is distinctive for her use of strong color and refined form in vessel objects.
A reception for Sally Campbell is in the Studio Gallery, Oct. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public. The Forum Gallery is located in Building F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Building D, Room D127.
