For Immediate Release

DALLAS—October showings at the Brookhaven College School of the Arts galleries include works by the varied and talented faculty members in the college’s art department and an installation by ceramic artist Louise Rosenfield Oct. 3-26.

The School of the Arts Art Faculty Exhibition opens in the Forum Gallery. Faculty members in this annual exhibition include: Betsy Belcher, Barbara Brault, Du Chau, Chong Chu, Kandace Davis, Julia Dawson, Martin Delabano, Lisa Ehrich, Merry Fuhrer, Corey Johnson, Natalie Macellaio, Chris Mast, Rick Maxwell, Jessica McCambley, Margaret McDowell, Cynthia Mills, Susan Mollet, David Newman, Chancellor Page, Elaine Pawlowicz, Yvonne Sage, Rebecca Swann, Lianne Krueger Sullivan, Don Taylor, Dave Van Ness, Jeff Yerger and Marla Ziegler. The exhibition is an opportunity to see the breadth of professional practices the Brookhaven College art faculty members bring to their classrooms.

Art faculty members will discuss their work in informal gallery talk in the Forum Gallery, Oct. 24, from noon to 1:30p.m.

The exhibition Louise Rosenfield—Let’s Make a Deal in the Studio Gallery presents an installation of ceramic work by Dallas artist Louise Rosenfield. Using clay vessels as metaphors for the United States Senate and House of Representatives, Rosenfield’s work is a sharply defined commentary on the legislative process.

A reception for Louise Rosenfield is in the Studio Gallery, Oct. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibitions are free and open to the public. Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch. The Forum Gallery is located in Building F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Building D, Room D127. Both galleries are open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional information about gallery exhibitions contact David Newman, gallery director, at 972-860-4101or send an e-mail to dNewman@dcccd.edu.
