New graduates of the Brookhaven College Radiologic Science Program shared the stage December 8th at Medical City Hospital of Dallas for the pinning and graduation ceremonies honoring the 25 completers of the two-year program. This is the fourth graduating class for the Radiologic Sciences Program and the first class to finish the program without losing a single student for academic reasons. Three students completed the program and all their courses with perfect 4.0 grade point averages. Christi Carter, Radiologic Science professor, pinned each student with a special piece created specifically for the program.

For the first time in the 26 year history of Brookhaven College Men’s Basketball, the Brookhaven Bears team has claimed the number three spot in this week’s National Junior College Athletic Association’s rankings. The Bears have been undefeated at home this season and have an overall record of 11 wins. Kevin Hurst, academic advisor and head coach of the team, is preparing the team for conference play.

An exhibition featuring the talent of the art professors and staff members throughout the district will include more than 20 pieces created by instructors at Brookhaven College . From lithography to clay and from oil paintings to mixed media pieces, the diverse faculty and staff at the college have contributed artworks for the show at 500 Exposition Art Gallery in Dallas. The show will continue through December 29th.

Brookhaven College extends special thanks to the Facilities Services staff members of Richland and Eastfield colleges for sending employees to staff essential services at Brookhaven to allow employees to attend the funeral of Jim Dwyer, director of Facilities Services, employed at Brookhaven since 1993.

Brookhaven College ’s Early College High School freshman and sophomore students have planned a Holiday Dance that also includes movies and games. The event will take place the night of December 14th in the lobby of the college’s Student Services Center .
