Aided by professional instructors/choreographers, these talented dancers have immersed themselves into the world of choreography, creating new and exciting works for the summer festival. Join us as we celebrate their journey and accomplishments. Special guests include the Dallas Powerhouse of Dance and LakeCities Ballet Theatre.
Dancers’ Theatre is the performance company extension of the Brookhaven College School of the Arts Dance Department. The dance company performs concerts three times a year, for all levels and ages of dancers. The Dance Department offers classical ballet, burlesque, salsa, modern, tap, jazz and hip-hop courses for college credit or personal enrichment. The Brookhaven College School of the Arts dance professors include professional dancers and choreographers like Anna Marie Ewert-Pittman, founder of Ewert & Company dance company; Shannon Tate, co-founder of the Ground Level Dance Company; and Michelle Sherrill, professional dancer with Dallas Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Dancers Unlimited.
Performances are at Brookhaven College, located at 3939 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, in the International Courtyard. The performances are free and open to the public with lawn seating.
