DALLAS – There are almost 50 new nurses licensed in Texas this year because of the Nursing Program at Brookhaven College. The Texas Board of Nursing recently sent results for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses through June 30. A total of 49 Nursing Program graduates have passed the examination, which gives the college’s students a 100 percent pass rate for this year.
Mark A. Meyer, Ph.D., R.N., dean of nursing, received results from the TBN that stated this 100 percent pass rate for all Brookhaven College nursing graduates who have attempted the exam. Dr. Juanita Zapata Flint, executive dean for the Health and Human Services Division, congratulated the faculty and staff members for the outstanding job they are doing teaching and supporting students.
