DALLAS – Original artworks can make handsome and unique holiday gifts. The Brookhaven College Student Art Club sale offers one-of-a-kind pieces created by the students in the School of the Arts fine art courses. The sale includes hundreds of items, starting under $10 and is set in the Brookhaven College Student Services Center, Building S, Dec. 2 and 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tables are filled with pottery, sculpture, jewelry, prints and paintings in a wide range of colors, sizes, shapes and tastes. Students sell the pieces they have created in the ceramics, printmaking, painting, jewelry making, sculpture, drawing and photography courses over the fall term. In addition to the art, the club also will be accepting $5 donations with those who donate being entered in a drawing for a box of 10 handmade art ornaments.
The sale benefits Art Club student awards and the drawing benefits the Adjunct Art Faculty Staff Development Fund. For more information regarding the art sale, contact Susan Mollett, art professor and club sponsor, at 972-860-4138.
