DALLAS—Distinguished printmaker, Timothy High, exhibits prints and drawings from his ‘Vanity Fair’ collection at the Brookhaven College School of the Arts Forum Gallery. High’s ‘Vanity Fair’ series concentrates on the foibles of human nature as manifested in the individual and throughout contemporary society as a whole.
Timothy High earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Tech University and the Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Among the most distinguished artists working in screenprinting in the country, High inaugurated screenprinting in The University of Texas at Austin Art Department in 1976. High is the recipient of several grants and fellowships including a Ford Foundation Travel Enrichment Grant in 1978 and an Individual Artists Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1989. He has been in numerous national, international and solo exhibitions. His work also is included in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, Milwaukee Art Center, Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch. The Forum Gallery is located in Building F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Building D, Room D127.
