DALLAS-Dan Hammett exhibits new ceramics in the Studio Gallery at the Brookhaven College School of the Arts, Jan. 6-29. A reception for Hammett is in the Studio Gallery, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Professor of art at the University of Dallas since 1979, Dan Hammett has exhibited extensively. His work is in the collections of Alfred University, Alfred, N.Y.; National Cash Register Corporation, Dayton, Ohio; State University of New York, Oswego, N.Y.; Taylor Widmer Winery, Bath-Hammondsport, N.Y.; Baylor University, Waco; Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls; The Southland Corporation, Dallas; University of Dallas, Irving; Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi; University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio; and, Xerox Corporation, Irving.
Hammett received the Master of Fine Arts in ceramic art from the State University of New York College of Ceramics at Alfred University, the Bachelor of Fine Arts in art from the University of Kansas in Lawrence; and the Bachelor of Art in art education, Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch. The Studio Gallery is located in Building D, Room D127.
