News at Brookhaven College

For Immediate Release

DALLAS — The Texas Skill Standards Board, TSSB, recently recognized two programs at Brookhaven College for industry-standard skills successfully integrated into the curriculum.

The Visual Communications Associate of Applied Sciences Degree programs and the Web Design and Development Level 2 Certificate were recognized for the integration of Digital Media and Web Development and Administration skill standards.

For this recognition, Brookhaven College received a $5,000 and $1,000 award. Certificates and degrees from these programs can now include the TSSB seal, documenting that graduates have acquired the skills and knowledge deemed necessary by employers in their field.

The TSSB standards were developed through expert panels and validated by a random sample of 748 companies. The recognition lasts for three years, after which the institution can apply for renewal.
