DALLAS – Each year the faculty members in the Brookhaven College School of the Arts display their works in a public exhibition. This year’s Art Faculty Exhibition opens at the Forum Gallery Oct. 6. Works from Charles DeBus, professor at Southern Methodist University, will be on exhibit in the Studio Gallery.
Exhibiting faculty include Betsy Belcher, Chris Blackhurst, Barbara Brault, Jim Burton, Du Chau, Chong Keun Chu, Kandice Davis, Lisa Ehrich, Shelley Hampe, Nick Hutchings, Natalie Macellaio, Susan Mollet, Tesa Morin, Lisa Nersesova, David Newman, Michael O’Keefe, Chancellor Page, Julie Shipp, Marina Shterenberg, Rebecca Swann, Don Taylor, Erik Tosten, Sarah Williams, Mary Kathryn Wimberly and Marla Ziegler. The pieces highlight the range of the studio art curriculum at Brookhaven College and exemplify the instructor’s level of professional practice.
Faculty gallery talks are Oct. 13 at noon in the Forum Gallery.
Charles DeBus exhibits photography works spanning the past 40 years. Debus will present a gallery lecture Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. in the Studio Gallery.
Both exhibitions continue through Oct. 27.
The exhibitions and gallery talks are free and open to the public. Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch. The Forum Gallery is located in Bldg. F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Bldg. D, Room D127.
