DALLAS– Have fun and support a worthy cause. The Poverty and HIV/AIDS Charity Benefit is May 1 from 6-10 p.m. in the Brookhaven College International Courtyard.
Bring $2 or two canned good items for a night of activities, including alternative band and dance performances; drag show; art auction; and guest speakers.
All proceeds will go toward Resource Center Dallas, the primary lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and HIV/AIDS service organization in North Texas. The Center is a leader in HIV/AIDS education, prevention and services, and provides STD prevention education, screenings and treatments.
The benefit is sponsored by the Brookhaven College Gay/Straight Alliance club, Dallas Voice and Resource Center Dallas.
Brookhaven College is located at 3939 Valley View Lane, between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Farmers Branch.
