Don your favorite costume, bring the kids and join the fun! The Spooky Trot 5K Run/Walk is Oct. 31.

The prize pool is so awesome it's scary, and all you need in order to participate is a minimum donation of five nonperishable food items for the Brookhaven College Food Pantry. The run will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 8 a.m. Participants should meet near the archery field at the rear of campus prior to the event.

Prizes will be awarded for both men and women for the top three running times and for costume-contest winners in categories such as scariest, funniest, cutest and most outrageous. Prizes will include certificates for free dinners, foot massages and hotel stays, as well as grocery gift cards. The Spooky Trot is open to the public and to all ages.

To register for the event, bring the registration form and your donation to the Brookhaven College Police Department, Bldg. B, Room B200. Registration and release forms for adults and youth are available at www.BrookhavenCollege.edu/SpookyTrot.
