More Summer Fun Afoot

At the you can polish your musical talents or start from scratch.
- Musikgarten courses for newborns through age seven are fun for caregivers, too!
- Speak a new language, create your own jewelry or hone your Karate skills.
- NEW! Guitar Camps at the Arts Academy – Ever expanding, the Arts Academy at Brookhaven College has added guitar courses to their summer schedule. Guitar Camps introduce the guitar to children with a four-day intense learning experience. Adults learn the basics with a Guitar Beginning course.

Camp Success at CHOICES Leadership Academy has:
- “Humungous Fun” planned for Dinosaur Days for students in Grades 1-2;
- even bigger and smarter fun for Grades 3-4 and Grades 5-6;
- SAT/PSAT workshops for students in Grades 9-12; and
- Leadership Training Camp for children ages 9-12 years.
Take Defensive Driving. Investing just six hours on one Saturday or Sunday can earn you a 10% discount on your auto insurance or meet requirements for dismissal of a traffic ticket. Choose instruction in English or Spanish.
Are you 55 years of age or more? At Brookhaven College, senior adults are in a class of their own! The Senior Adult Education Program offers courses in everything from antiques to computers. And don’t miss Cowboys & Culture: Exploring Fort Worth – a professionally-guided, historical tour!

The east section of the jogging trail is closed. The contractor has returned to complete the running surface.

While the Plexitrac polyresin surface is curing, it will ruin your shoes or clothes. The longterm damage you leave on the track itself – your footprints – results in a permanent, uneven surface on the track. So, plan to stay off the track. We can all look forward to enjoying the best possible track surface later, and your running shoes will not have to be replaced prematurely.

The upgrade of the elevator in Building D, in the Fine Arts area, has begun. This is the last of the five elevators scheduled for work.
