What’s New? August 15 Deadline for Mandatory Financial Aid Decision

Attention: Financial Aid Students Enrolled Before Fall 2005

August 15 is an Important Deadline for You!

Choose between a Chase E-funds Card and direct deposit to your bank account.

BEFORE AUG. 15 you must decide where to direct your funds. Paper checks no longer are available.

To receive your financial aid money for fall 2005 you must do one of the following:

  1. apply for a Chase E-funds Card;
    • The Chase E-funds Card (formerly Bank One Direct Card) is similar to a debit card. Instead of being printed on a paper check that is mailed to you, the funds from your financial aid award are placed on your Chase E-funds Card. This creates an available balance amount for your use.
    • You can use your Chase E-funds Card as an ATM card to withdraw cash at any ATM machine (three free withdrawals a month using a Bank One or JP Morgan Chase Bank ATM machine).
    • Or you can use your Chase E-funds Card as a VISA card to charge purchases from your available balance.
    • You can apply for the Chase E-funds Card anytime after receiving your financial aid award letter.
    • Applications can be made online via eConnect. Login is required. See “To apply for a Chase E-funds Card” below for instructions.
  2. or, authorize direct deposit of funds to your bank account.
    • You must provide the college with your valid bank account information for direct deposit.
