The Last Lecture

Lecture

In 2011, the Open Book Committee, with input from the college community, selected The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Pausch gave a "last lecture" as a professor at Carnegie Mellon University that summed up much of what he wanted his legacy to be as a professor.

The book takes these lessons even further and adds to the personal stories he shared and the lessons he learned about overcoming obstacles and seizing every moment. More than 130 class sections embraced this book, and many special events took place that focused on the book and its lessons.
