Accomplishments
Since its inception, PSSA has made strides in bettering the working environment for PSS employees.
PSSA has worked to get:
- Tuition waivers for employees to take two credit or noncredit courses per semester within DCCCD
- Health and vacation benefits for limited full-time employees
- Pay options for employees who work less than 12 months
- Educational stipends for employees who earn degrees while employed
- A formal grievance policy
- Improved leave policies
- An improved employee evaluation system
