Accomplishments

Since its inception, PSSA has made strides in bettering the working environment for PSS employees.

PSSA has worked to get:

  • Tuition waivers for employees to take two credit or noncredit courses per semester within DCCCD
  • Health and vacation benefits for limited full-time employees
  • Pay options for employees who work less than 12 months
  • Educational stipends for employees who earn degrees while employed
  • A formal grievance policy
  • Improved leave policies
  • An improved employee evaluation system
