Anyone wishing to make modifications to facilities (interior or exterior) which affect structural or interior design must request evaluation by the Facilities Core Committee for subsequent recommendation to the President’s Cabinet.

The requesting party may obtain from Facilities Services the Brookhaven College Reconstruction/Renovation Request worksheet. The completed worksheet will describe the desired project and the estimated price of the project, with signature approval by the requesting party’s supervisor. The worksheet is presented to the Facilities Core Committee for consideration and recommendation to the President’s Cabinet.

No modifications may occur or any request/requisitions leave the campus until approval by the President’s Cabinet has been awarded.

Requests receiving the President’s Cabinet approval for changes to facilities that affect structural or interior design (as noted above), will be forwarded to the District Office of Facilities Management to determine:

1.      Compliance with all fire and safety requirements, applicable codes and ordinances;

2.      Economic feasibility of modification;

3.      Availability of alternative solutions;

4.      Compatibility with master plan intent;

5.      Compatibility with design concept.
