Permanent handicapped parking permits must be obtained from the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office within the county the individual requesting the permit resides.

There are three (3) types of permits issued:

1. Temporarily disabled person identification card issued by State Department of Highways giving a date of expiration;
2. Permanent disabled person identification card issued by State Department of Highways;
3. Permanent disabled license plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Enforcement of the handicapped parking at Brookhaven College is primarily the responsibility of the Farmers Branch Police Department since all handicapped parking is regulated by state law.

Violators shall be issued a Farmers Branch Police Citation and the fines are $100-$200 per violation.
