What kind of student are you? Each of our students are unique and that means that the application and registration process can vary. Find an outline of the steps you will need to take to get started.

NOTE: Register early! Enrollment is open only for courses that have not met. No late or extended registration period is offered.

  • First-time-in-college students

    Are you enrolling in college for the very first time, with no previous college attendance?

  • Continuing students

    Were you enrolled in the Dallas County Community College District during the previous 12 months?

  • Distance education students

    Are you enrolling only in courses offered as Distance Education?

  • Veterans

    Students who qualify for veterans benefits should contact the veterans representative in the Student Support Services, Bldg. S, Room S124. You may contact the Veterans Affairs Office via email at or call 972-860-4673.

  • Students 50+

    Do you want to take smaller classes, tailored to the needs of older students?

Open Door Policy

Our “open door” policy means anyone who can profit from post-secondary education has an opportunity to enroll.  Admission to one Dallas County Community College District college allows students to take classes at any of the district colleges.

The Admissions Office is the first stop for those enrolling in credit courses.  Other services available are: Brookhaven transcripts, degree planning, graduation certification and recruitment.
