Registration

Prior to the beginning of each session any accepted student authorized to do so may register for courses for the coming semester.

NOTE: New state law may require you to provide proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination before you can register for classes.

Register early! Enrollment is open only for courses that have not met. No late or extended registration period is offered.

• Continuing students

  Those who were enrolled in the Dallas County Community College District during the previous 12 months

• Re-admit students

  Previously enrolled at Brookhaven or another DCCCD college more than 12 months ago

• Transfer students

  Students transferring to the DCCCD from another institution

• First-time-in-college students

  A student who has never enrolled in a college or university

• Workforce training students and businesses

  Customized training available to fit your training needs – your site or ours!

• Continuing education students

  Noncredit courses for personal enrichment or professional development

• International students

  The Multicultural Center specializes in assisting non-native English speakers or students not born in the United States.

• Extended registration

  For students wanting to register for a course after the close of regular registration

• Veterans

  Students who qualify for veterans benefits should contact the veterans representative in the Student Services Center, Building S, Admissions Office. You may contact the Veterans Affairs Office via e-mail at bhcVeteransServices@dcccd.edu or call 972-860-4681/4110.

• Registration by proxy

  If circumstances prevent you from attending registration and you have completed all admissions, orientation, assessment and advisement processes, you may have another person register on your behalf – by proxy.

  Any person designated as your proxy to register for you must have:

  1. Your written authorization to complete registration in your name.
  2. Your completed Application/Registration Form.
  3. Alternative course selections in the event that your first choice is full.
  4. Authorization to pay tuition. The student to be registered – not the proxy – has the ultimate responsibility for the correct payment of all tuition.
  5. Proper photo identification, e.g., Driver License or passport.
