Pre-Assessment Activity to the TSI
The Pre-Assessment Activity is an online introduction to the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) administered through eConnect for non-exempt students and includes:
- an explanation of the importance of the TSI Assessment;
- an explanation of your developmental education options if you don’t meet the minimum passing standard;
- information about campus resources that will help you succeed as a college student; and,
- mandatory practice test questions and feedback.
Once you have completed the TSI Pre-Assessment Activity, your participation will be documented which is required to take the TSI Assessment. Students must click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page to document their participation.
After the Pre-Assessment Activity
After finishing the Pre-Assessment Activity, students will be directed to a Pre-Assessment Workshop Session (PAWS) in Bldg. S, Room S020. Students will receive their testing referral form for the TSI Assessment as well as further information and assistance in preparing for the TSI Assessment.

in Bldg. K, Room K137 to schedule an appointment to meet with an individual from the TSI Prep Team. A session must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
