The Federal Work-Study Program, FWS, is a need-based financial aid program that provides part-time (not to exceed 18.5 hours per week) employment for eligible students. To be considered, you should indicate your interest in work-study employment on the FAFSA you submit each year. The average wage for FWS positions within DCCCD is $7 per hour.

Many on-campus jobs are available, but students must apply, interview and be selected by a hiring unit. To seek employment, students should come to the Financial Aid Office to obtain a student employment referral review package. Work-study students are required to set up a direct deposit account with a bank in order to receive their pay.

Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. ( PDFs coming soon to the website.)

AmeriCorps gives students opportunities to receive funds in exchange for service to the community. To read more about the program, visit the AmeriCorps Web site. Speak with a Financial Aid Office representative to explore possible AmeriCorps work assignments.

If you are interested in a work-study position, please complete the application form. Please email to pLucas@dcccd.edu.
