Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
Ceremony begins promptly at 7 p.m.
Graduate Check-in: 5:45 p.m.
Graduates will enter through the front entrance of the Loos Field House. You will be asked to return any restricted items to your vehicle. Guests will not be allowed in the graduate check-in or robing areas.
**Late graduates will not be able to participate in the procession to the arena and seated with other graduates.
What to Wear–What to Bring
Information regarding the proper wearing of your cap and gown has been provided under the ceremony do's and don'ts. Personal belongings should be left with your family or in the trunk of your car. Belongings may not be left in the robing areas during the ceremony. The only item you will carry into the ceremony will be your name card. Cell phones must be turned off and put away during the ceremony.
Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing under your gown.
Please let your guests know the arena floor is reserved for graduates and approved college employees only; however, for anyone requiring wheelchair access there will be space available behind the graduates on the arena floor. Guests will not be allowed in the graduate check-in area or hallways. Rest rooms are available for use on either side of the main hallway. Please review the Guest information for more detailed information.
Parking is free for the graduates and all guests.
The following items are NOT allowed inside Loos Field House and you and/or your guests will be asked to return any restricted items to your vehicle.
- Food or beverages of any kind (including bottled waters and/or snacks)
- Signs, banners, placards, or mortarboards
- Balloons, beach balls, Frisbees, bubbles, silly string, glitter, confetti, or laser pens
- Bullhorns, air horns, or any artificial noisemakers
- Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
- Monopods and tripods
- Wrapped gifts
The Alfred J. Loos Field House is a drug and alcohol free facility. No smoking is allowed on the premises.
A professional photographer will be taking individual photos of the graduates crossing the stage as well as backstage. FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY will be providing the photography services during the ceremony. You may go to www.flashphotography.com/docs/order.html and put in the Department Code of DP4 for event information.
