Possible Threat to the Community
"Your Right to Know"

In compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 the Brookhaven College Police are giving notice of the following threat(s):

At approximately 1:10 p.m. on Nov. 12, the Brookhaven College Police were made aware of an incident of indecency with a child that occurred at the college on Nov. 11 at approximately 8:45 a.m. A minor-aged male reported that he was inappropriately touched while changing in the area of the men’s locker room in the lower level of Bldg. T. The young male was approached by an Asian male, who introduced himself as either Camron or Carmen, proceeded to shake the young man’s hand and then touched the young man’s genitals.

The suspect has been described as an Asian male, approximately height 4’8” in height with short, straight black hair. He is described as looking young, between 16 and 17 years of age. The suspect was last seen wearing dark colored pants and a light blue jean jacket.

NOTE: Police are asking everyone to please be aware of your surroundings, and, if possible, to walk in groups or pairs.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to Brookhaven College Police Department at 972-860-4290 and or Farmers Branch Police Department at 972-484-3620. If you have any questions please contact the Brookhaven College P.D. as this is an open and ongoing investigation.

It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the community. It is the duty of the institution to warn of possible "dangerous conditions" on or near its campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an "affirmative duty" exists to warn persons associated with this College of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
