Style and Graphic Standards
The goal of our office is to work with work groups and individuals to make sure that their publications/communication efforts meet district standards as well as best practices for marketing.
There are dozens of different channels available for communicating a message. With so many different opportunities, it is more important than ever to have graphic and editorial standards in place. Graphic and editorial standards are meant to help guarantee that messages sent by campus units reflect the college’s tradition, values and excellence.
DCCCCD policy states that all district employees who publish mass communications will follow the DCCCD Style Guide and Graphic Standards. The style guide applies to all mass or external communications. There are two Brookhaven College policies that reflect the college’s intentions to ensure consistency of messaging and image.
The policy regarding Signs or Posters Display
helps ensure that information that is posted around the college is posted in the appropriate areas and is removed in a timely fashion.
A policy governing Publication Procedures
for the college outlines that Brookhaven College publications are processed through the College Marketing and Creative Services Office.
Communication between our staff and divisions/departments at the college is critical to the success of college, department and individual marketing efforts. Effectively planning and executing marketing strategies take time and effort from all parties involved.
