The Brookhaven College Student Ambassadors Program enlists volunteer support from outstanding students at Brookhaven College to reach out to prospective students and the community:
- Special campus events
- Outreach to high schools
- Campus tours
- New student orientations
- Registration
- Community activities
As an ambassador you will have the opportunity to:
- Acquire public relations experience
- Meet community leaders
- Develop a professional network
- Enjoy personal enrichment
- Participate in new learning opportunities
- Enhance your resume
- Serve your college and your community
- Interact with people
- Increase your self-esteem and confidence
- Make new friends
To become an Ambassador, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a student in good standing currently enrolled in at least 6 hours at Brookhaven College
- Have a 2.5 GPA and maintain it while in the program
- Be comfortable with people
- Have good communications skills
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Commit to the program requirements
Enrollment process:
- Submit the following to the SPAR office, S201:
- completed application
- availability schedule
- two recommendation forms or letters from faculty or staff members
- Attend a training/orientation session.
Enrollment timelines and deadlines change each semester.
Requirements to remain an Ambassador:
- Serve a minimum of 10 hours of service each semester, or complete a minimum of 3 college events
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA
- Display behavior appropriate to college standards.
Members will be dropped after two unanswered requests.
