Instructional Testing Information

Instructional tests are tests assigned by an instructor.

  • The last test given each day will begin one hour before closing time.
  • No books, papers, or calculators are allowed unless specified by your instructor.
  • Coin-operated lockers, to store books and other small personal belongings while you test, are provided in the Student Services Center. They cost 25 cents per use. Briefcases must be stored in your car. The bookstore upstairs in the Student Service Center can provide change for the lockers.
  • Cell phones and beepers are not allowed in the Testing Center.
  • Once you have started a test, you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the center except in case of an extreme emergency. If this happens, your test will be marked to indicate to your instructor that you left the room.
  • If it is determined you have unauthorized materials at your desk or if you are looking at a test other than your own, your test will be taken from you.  Your academic records will immediately be blocked.  Your instructor and division dean will be notified.
  • Children are not allowed in the Testing Center.  Unattended children cannot be left in the Student Services Center while you test.
  • Photo identification will be required before any test is given. Bring your student ID or any other photo ID. If you do not have a driver's license, a photo ID card can be obtained from the Texas Department of Public Safety Drivers License Examination Station.

Be prepared to provide to the Testing Center examiner your:

  1. photo identification;
  2. course name, number and section number;
  3. test number or name;
  4. instructor's name; and
  5. permission slip, if required by your instructor.
