Our Read/Succeed Professional Development sessions consist of groups of employees who volunteer to attend a one-hour session per month to learn ways to embed simple reading strategies into their work with students.
It is a misconception that we want instructors to become reading teachers. We do not want to interfere with time needed for course content. We want to SNEAK IN THE READING! We’re pleased to have non-teaching participants from a number of areas such as veteran’s services, advising, the Multicultural Center, and the library as well.
