Strategies for Teaching Academic Reading to Students (S.T.A.R.S.)

Individual content instructors can be paired with a reading specialist who will work with them to help students be successful in content courses. Needs are discussed and options are considered. The specialist might provide reading resources, visit classes to look for ways to integrate “teachable moments” into courses, and/or provide mini lessons for students.
