High School Programs

Still in high school? Brookhaven College offers a number of programs designed to help high school students get on the fast track to a college education. Explore these programs to find one that fits your goals and interests.

In partnership with local high schools, the colleges of Dallas County Community College District are able to offer college courses, taught by approved adjunct instructors to qualified high school students for college credit. Students are able to earn credit for both the high school class as well as earning college credit at the same time, hence the term dual credit. These college credits from Brookhaven College are transferable, cost less than regular undergraduate tuition, and prepare students for the anticipated rigor of higher education.

All students enrolled in a dual credit and early college high school dual credit course, regardless of their choice to register for college credit or take it for high school credit only, should expect the course rigor and student expectations to compare to the rigor and expectations placed on university level undergraduate students enrolled in the same on campus course at Brookhaven College.

Dual Credit — gives qualified high school students an opportunity to earn college credit while completing high school requirements.

Early College High Schools — are a partnership with the colleges of DCCCD to provide pathways of dual credit courses that lead towards college-level career and technical education certificates and associate degrees.

Early College High School at Brookhaven College — allows students who reside in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District and who are entering ninth grade to achieve two years of college credit while earning a high school diploma.
