Allied Health Majors

Students can complete their prerequisite courses at Brookhaven College for the various Allied Health Professions majors. Brookhaven College has its own programs in nursing, emergency medical services and paramedic, medical front office, and radiological sciences. Most of our courses can also be used to fulfill requirements for programs at the university level.

These courses are transferable to other colleges and universities. Check with advisors at the destination program to confirm which courses are acceptable for transfer. 

BIOL 1406 Biology for Science Majors I

BIOL 2401 Anatomy and Physiology I

BIOL 2402 Anatomy and Physiology II  

  • Offered with lecture and lab on-campus, or hybrid with lecture online and lab on-campus
  • Offered in fall and spring semesters, and summer session

BIOL 2421 Microbiology for Non-science Majors

  • Offered with lecture and lab on-campus
  • Offered in fall and spring semesters

SCIT 1407 Applied Anatomy and Physiology

  • Offered with lecture and lab on-campus, or hybrid with lecture online and lab on-campus
  • Offered in fall and spring semesters and summer session

SCIT 1408 Applied Anatomy and Physiology

  • Offered with lecture and lab on-campus, or hybrid with lecture online and lab on-campus
  • Offered in fall and spring semesters and summer session


These courses are transferable for acceptance into DCCCD programs but may have limited transferability to other colleges and universities.
