Length of time is based on catalog degree plans. Prerequisites may be required, which are not included in this estimate. For most programs, full-time student status is assumed, a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
Cost is based on tuition rates for program hours and Dallas County residents. It does not include additional supplies, fees or books. Find out about financial aid.
Graduates of Brookhaven’s associate degree in Paramedicine are eligible to take the
National Registry of EMTs examination and apply for a Paramedic license with the
Texas Department of State Health Services. Graduates of either Brookhaven’s or El Centro’s Paramedic certificates are eligible to take the
National Registry of EMTs examination; passing this exam satisfies requirements for the
Texas Department of State Health Services Paramedic certification.
Successful completers are eligible to take the EMT-Basic exam through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and eligible to apply for certification as an EMT-Basic in the state of Texas.
