Math at Brookhaven

Taking math classes at Brookhaven College is an affordable way to get started on a path to a brighter future. Whether you’re taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university, or for personal enrichment, our curriculum will give you the foundational skills you need.

The Mathematics Department strives to meet the needs of our students no matter their level of expertise.

New! Mathways Program for Students

Not all students need College Algebra. Some degrees and career paths call for different mathematics classes to fit the needs of that particular program. This is where our new Mathways Project comes in! Talk to an advisor or your mathematics professor before enrolling in classes to make sure you are taking the class that suits your path.

STEM Scholars

High-achieving science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM, students can apply for the DCCCD STEM Institute. Scholars are chosen through a highly competitive process and participate in STEM-focused seminars and events to explore career paths, internships and summer research opportunities.

STEM Scholars must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in rigorous academic classes to remain in the program.
