Taking physical education classes at Brookhaven College is an affordable way to get started on a path to a brighter future. Whether you’re taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university, or for personal enrichment, our curriculum will give you the foundational skills you need.
The Physical Education, Kinesiology and Nutrition Division offers physical education instruction both as transferable college credit courses and as noncredit courses for personal enrichment. We also have a Fitness Lab on-site for student and employee use.
In addition to hands-on physical activity courses, we also offer
BIOL 1322: Nutrition and Diet Therapy as an introduction to human nutrition. Students will learn how the body handles nutrients, analyze personal eating habits, develop a personal weight control plan, analyze food labels, distinguish between nutrition fact and myth, identify relationships between nutrition and disease and integrate nutrition information into daily life.
