Taking world languages classes at Brookhaven College is an affordable way to get started on a path to a brighter future. Whether you’re taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university, or for personal enrichment, our curriculum will give you the foundational skills you need.
Brookhaven College offers a wide array of languages, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Russian.
To non-native speakers of English, we offer three ESOL programs:
If you are interested in the IEP or Credit ESOL Program, please contact the Multicultural Center for information about registration and for advising.
If you are interested in noncredit ESOL classes, please contact the Workforce and Continuing Education Division.
Our American Sign Language, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish courses can be taken for transferable college credit—or for non-credit.
