Dr. Mark Skorick earned his Ph.D. in political science from Texas A&M University in 2005 and joined the faculty of Brookhaven College in 2008. He currently serves as chair of the Government/Political Science department, as the college’s director of assessment, and as vice president of the Faculty Association.
Prior to his arrival at Brookhaven, he taught courses in international relations, foreign policy, conflict studies, and terrorism at Texas A&M University, the University of Kansas and Southern Methodist University. His academic interests include foreign policy decision-making, U.S. foreign policy, and political psychology.
He has published papers in the Journal of Conflict Resolution and International Interactions, a chapter on emotions and foreign policy (co-authored with Nehemia Geva), and has presented papers at numerous professional conferences.
