Gale Wilson was named program coordinator and lead faculty for the BOSS program in August 2016. She holds a master’s degree in liberal studies and bachelor’s degree in public relations from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in higher education leadership at Northcentral University in Prescott, Ariz., where she is a member of Kappa Delta Pi international honor society in education.
Having worked in higher education for more than 15 years, she has advised, counseled and assisted students and student organizations in addition to working closely with faculty. Her previous professional experience included positions as an executive assistant, a registrar, admissions personnel and academic advisor.
She began teaching business communications as a college substitute teacher at Florida International University in Miami in September 2007. She began working at Brookhaven College as an instructional specialist in 2010 and as an adjunct faculty member in 2011 for the BOSS program teaching Microsoft Office and Business English courses. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member to the Medical Front Office program, teaching Computer Fundamentals and Computer Applications I.
In addition to coordinating Brookhaven’s BOSS program, she teaches MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, MS Publisher and Business Communications.
