Keeley Bowman began teaching as an adjunct faculty member in Brookhaven’s Business Studies Division in 2012. She has also taught Health Information Management at Collin College since 2010 and serves as the program’s clinical coordinator.
She holds a bachelor of science in health information management degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Previous work experience includes serving as the director of health information management (HIM) at Tenet Healthcare in Rowlett and Frisco; HIM director and HIPAA privacy officer for Kindred Healthcare in Tarrant County; and HIM director for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth.
She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), a member and student mentor of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), as well as a member of AHIMA’s state and local organizational chapters. She was named student advisor of the year at Collin College in 2012.
