Brookhaven College’s Comprehensive Automotive Technology program includes a comprehensive service technician associate degree and four specialized service technician certificate options. The CAT program’s curriculum includes academics, automotive system theory, and hands-on automotive diagnostic and service procedures.
CAT’s evening schedule provides flexibility for students looking to change careers or update skills while maintaining their present jobs. Graduates are prepared to work in independent service facilities, dealerships or enter a variety of automotive industry-related career tracks.
Please note: Students in the comprehensive and dealership-sponsored technician programs are required to have their own set of tools. They are necessary for classroom laboratory exercises and the cooperative work experiences. Various hand tool manufacturers offer tool packages to Brookhaven College automotive students at a substantial savings.
