Admissions Requirements

Admissions Requirements

  1. Complete an Application for Admissions. Forms are available at the Admissions Office, Room S041, or online.
  2. If you don’t have one, obtain a Social Security Number.
  3. Provide proof of all immunizations.
  4. Provide Proof of Texas Residency for those who wish to be classified as residents for tuition purposes.
  5. Complete Texas Success Initiative requirements.
  6. Obtain a Brookhaven College student identification card from the Office of Student Life, Room S201.
  7. Provide proof of current CPR certification from Emergency Care and Safety Institute, American Red Cross or American Heart Association at the professional level.
  8. Health Insurance, personal.
  9. Texas driver license.
  10. Attend an EMS Program orientation day.
  11. Obtain the required textbooks.
  12. Obtain the EMS Kit(s) by the first day of class.
  13. Obtain required liability insurance policy.
  14. Consent to a criminal background check at the student’s expense.
  15. Consent to a random drug screen at the student’s expense.
