Nursing Program

Effective Oct. 1, 2016, all nursing students applying to the Nursing program are required to submit a positive titer, with their application, for the following immunizations: *MMR, Varicella and Hep B surface antibody. Also required: Negative TB test, tDAP, Meningitis and Flu Shot.

Nursing is a highly specialized profession that is valued and respected in the community. Research indicates that nurses are trusted more than any other professional! We are seeking the most qualified applicants for admission to the Brookhaven College Nursing Program. 

Developed in fall 2004, the Associate Degree Nursing program is a 60-credit hour curriculum leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree. See the Brookhaven College Curriculum here. Brookhaven College Nursing Program outcome statistics are provided here. Approximately 50 students are accepted into the program each fall and spring semester.

Accreditation

The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
