Biology

The study of biology can open a student up to wide realm of career fields. From scientific research, to health care, to environmental issues, the study of biology can provide a framework for understanding the natural world around us.  Biology can serve as a foundation for study of more specific subjects like genetics, zoology, ecology or agricultural sciences as well.

Biology can do more than just prepare students for a career in health care and the sciences though. Biology courses trains students to ask questions, gather and review evidence, make judgments and solve problems.

  • Students in our courses are pursuing degrees in science, health professions, allied health professions, as well as non-science majors who want lab science courses that are relevant to their lives.
  • Students take biology on-campus, fully online and in a hybrid format.
  • Classes are offered in fall and spring semesters, in winter and May excelerated sessions, as well as flex terms.
