The Science Department at Brookhaven College includes the Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geospatial Technology and Physics Departments. Our classes meet Core requirements for associate degree programs as well as fulfilling student interests in these different fields.
High-achieving science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM, students can apply for the DCCCD STEM Institute. Scholars are chosen through a highly competitive process and participate in STEM-focused seminars and events to explore career paths, internships and summer research opportunities.
STEM Scholars must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in rigorous academic classes to remain in the program.
