The Engineering Academy is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students that have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus-ready as determined by the colleges of Dallas County Community College District. Students interested in the Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at Dallas County Community College District must first secure admission to a college in DCCCD.
First-time, full-time students should submit one of the following:
First-time and continuing students already enrolled in one of the colleges of DCCCD who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form.
All Texas A&M engineering courses are taught at El Centro College. Math and Science courses may be taken through any DCCCD college.
DCCCD will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application and all supporting credentials to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by June 30.
Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at Dallas County Community College District and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.
Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and enrolled in a DCCCD college. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through a DCCCD college and Texas A&M University.
