The High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation program — formerly known as GED preparation — provides individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the HSE test with flying colors.
Our team of caring instructors will help you increase your academic skills with small classes and hands-on learning. You can move forward at your own pace and choose classes that best fit your schedule.
HSE classes will develop your skills in five key areas:
The cost to take either the HiSET or GED test is not covered through this preparatory program and must be paid by you, the student. However, some local community organizations offer free GED testing, including the Dallas Public Library. Free testing facilities typically require instructor or organizational referral and proof of test preparation course completion. WorkReadyU program instructors and career navigators can help connect you to an approved testing site when you're ready.
Classes are available year-round during convenient daytime and evening hours at several DCCCD colleges and partner locations.
