Case management assists students with access to community resources so they are better able to focus on their academic, personal and professional goals. These community resources are able to support students with needs such as food, legal services, housing/homelessness, childcare, dental/vision care, public benefit programs, veterans services, intimate partner violence and much more. There is no cost for this service. Appointments are generally 45 minutes long but may vary in length.
The Brookhaven College Food Pantry is an on-campus resource available to any Brookhaven College community member.
During your first meeting, you with discuss your situation with your case manager and identify the types of available community resources suited to your needs. The case manager can help you contact these resources, set goals and plan for next steps. Some students may find that one meeting is sufficient to meet their needs while others may opt to return for further appointments.
Our case manager adheres to the same standards of confidentiality as in personal counseling. Visit our confidentiality page for further information.
Case management sessions are held in the Counseling Center located in Bldg. S, Room S124. To schedule an appointment with a case manager, call 972-860-4673 or visit us in person.
